UPDATED JANUARY 18, 2021- Regrettably, the Province of Ontario has classified our services as non-essential and as a result we are forced to close our studios during the 28 day Ontario “gray zone” shut down.  Please see the FAQs below for more information.
 
PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY THAT YOU ARE GRADUATING FROM.  We do not have uOttawa hoods at our Carleton University location or Carleton hoods at our uOttawa location.

CURB SIDE PICK UP

uOttawa has agreed to allow up to do a one day curb side pick up (for both Carleton & uOttawa graduates) on Thursday January 21 from 11am-1pm. We have emailed all customers whose packages will be available for pick up on that day with the location and instructions. Please keep in mind that finished packages take between 4-6 weeks from your order date.

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED DURING THE CLOSED TIME

We will initially be cancelling all appointments scheduled between January 4-29, 2021.  Customers will be notified by email if their appointment has to be rescheduled. Appointments will be cancelled on a week by week basis as necessary. 

WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE A CANCELLATION EMAIL

We encourage anyone who receives a cancellation email to go to our website at www.portraitsnow.ca and sign into your account to rebook an appointment as soon as possible.  We are currently fully booked until April, although appointments before April may become available if there is a cancellation.  
 
Once the lockdown has been lifted, Portraits Now will make every effort to accommodate preferred dates or requests for your rescheduled photo session including extending our studio hours or opening on weekends if permitted.  Priority booking will be given to those whose appointments are cancelled during the lockdown but it is important that you reschedule where you can now in case we are unable to have extended hours.

HOW DO I CONTACT PORTRAITS NOW DURING THE CLOSURES?

We are unable to answer phone calls during this time.  Please email us at either carleton@portraitsnow.ca or uottawa@portraitsnow.ca.

I HAVE A FINISHED PORTRAIT PACKAGE TO PICK UP

We are working with the Universities to plan limited “curb side” pick ups.  We will be posting the information on the dates and procedure for the “curb side pick up” when available. 

I PLACED AN ORDER BUT I WANT TO CHANGE MY PACKAGE DELIVERY METHOD FROM “PICK UP AT STUDIO” TO “SHIPPING”

For those who would like to change their delivery method to “SHIPPING”, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Please send us an email with your request indicating your name and the date of the order.

ARE YOU ABLE TO STILL PROCESS ORDERS

Yes, we will still be able to process on line orders during the lockdown.  

DIGITAL FILES

  • Digital files are ready in 3-4 weeks.  We will email a link for you to download your files from a secure file sharing site.  Digital files are full resolution (printable up to 20×24) and you also are given unlimited use to reproduce the images.
  • Please choose PICK UP AT STUDIO at the checkout step and your digital file download link will be emailed to you automatically within 3-4 weeks and no shipping fee applies.

PACKAGES WITH PRINTS

  • Printed packages are ready in 4-6 weeks.
  • Delivery options at the check-out process are:
    1. PICK UP AT STUDIO (free)– We will contact you when your package arrives at our studio for pick up. If we are still closed for the lockdown, we will have limited “curb side pick up”.  Our studios are regularly open year-round so we will safely hold your package at the studio of the school you attended until you are able to pick it up.
    2. SHIPPING (fee applies)– We will still be able to ship packages out during the lockdown. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your package has been mailed out.
